ASPARAGUS on the Market NOW!!

Pumpkin Patch has fresh asparagus ready for Tuesday!! We’re only open til 8 tonight… Will you be one of the lucky ones to snatch it up?! Good luck!!

POSTPONED - Spring Farmer's Market

Although Virtual Market pickup will continue to run as normal, we sadly must postpone the Spring Farmer’s Market that was scheduled for this Tuesday, May 5th.

Although no part of me wanted to have to say that, we must not only continue to put the health and concerns of our vendors and customers first, but also respect both the steady communications from our diligent Health Dept, as well as the Methodist Church’s continued cancellation of activities.

We’ll look forward to hosting another series of night markets in the future, and thank you for your patience and continued support!!

On a happy note, I heard rumblings of asparagus ready to go on the Market Tuesday!! A sure sign of spring and all the good things to come ;-)

Mother's Day Giveaways!!

Whew, you’d think being the mother of five, a resourceful farm wife, and the very Blessed manager of this wonderful Market, that I’d be slightly more adept at change and going with the flow – obviously not, as it’s now Friday and I’m just managing my first weblog of the week! What the heck! :-)

But at least it’s full of good news, right (if being a mother and a farmer have taught me anything, it’s the need to be positive)?!

Thanks to my own talented Mother, we have THREE beautiful bouquets to give away for Mother’s Day, to three lucky customers!! They’re pints of wooden flowers she dyes, paints and arranges with perfect TLC – and this stubborn daughter finally convinced her to let me buy these beauties for our next fun giveaway!!

Check out the pictures of the bouquets on The Market tab under the MCLG category, and enter to win your favorite – or enter all three drawings to better your odds! No double winners, don’t worry ;-)

Any customer who has placed an order with us in the month prior to Mother’s Day (from April 14th to May 10th) is eligible to win!

We’ll draw the winners on Mother’s Day, Sunday May 10th, and they’ll be able to pick up their bouquets during regular pick-up hours the following Tuesday, May 12th – 4:30-7:30pm!

Good luck, happy shopping, and thank you for your continued interest in staying LOCAL!!

Need Eggs or Mustard?!

King’s Poultry Farm just made 30 dozen eggs available, for those of you looking for farm fresh eggs!! :-)

Unfortunately production costs have increased, as with so many other things, but thankfully they only had to raise their price $.50/dozen!!

And Fantastic news!! Bad Seed Mustard now has all three of their famous deli style mustards back in stock, whether you like it sweet, mildly hot, or are looking for the Perfect Burn!! ;-)

Plus gorgeous, fragrant Spring bouquets from Morningside Meadows, plenty of fresh lettuces from THREE local vendors, and all of your favorite Coffee varieties from Innisfree on the Stillwater!!

More eggs, honey, produce... We're back :-)

Congratulations to our next Refer A Friend winner…

Judy Nickras!!

Remember to drop the name of the person who told you about the Market – they’ll be entered in the drawing for a $10 Market gift certificate!! Good on any purchase, and no expiration date :-)

We’ll draw another winner next week!!

Good Luck and Happy Shopping!!

HAPPY to be BACK!!

There’s nothing like a break to leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated – and oh are we glad to return with all kinds of new surprises for you!!

We welcome TWO brand new vendors this week – the first, Morningside Meadows Flower Farm from New Carlisle!!

Their first Spring Bouquets overflow with colorful, premium tulips – check out our Facebook page for photos!! Last week when they donated two gorgeous arrangements to our Customer Appreciation winners, the bouquets’ beauty and fragrance filled our entire building!!

And our second New vendor will be very familiar to many of you who have shopped at Market Pick-up, admiring and utilizing her lovely scrunchies… 8 year old Luciana, our resident seamstress extraordinaire, has progressed beyond scrunchies to making functional, comfy, beautiful face masks!! Take a look under Farm Crafts – she even has a special deal if you purchase Two!!

SO glad to have you both on the Market!! THANK YOU for joining our ever-growing family!!

Plus this week we are thrilled with the return of TWO favorite vendors… both The Farmhouse Bakery and Honey Creek Farm!!

Now that’s the way to come back strong after a Break :-)

We love our nurses, our two newest winners!

Our two Customer Appreciation Gifts this week go to two long-time customers, Debbie Priest and Stacy Tolpin!

These special ladies are also dedicated nurses, working hard thru this critical time down at Grandview Hospital and Miami Valley Hospital, respectively. Debbie has also even been a staple as my volunteer at pick-up over the years! And Stacy, well, I’ll simply share her email (with her permission) because it’s just so sweet and fitting…

“First, I want to say thank you for recognizing nurses! Yes, I am a critical care nurse leader at MVH. My eyes filled up with tears when I read your email. It has been an uphill battle to say the least and I have worked non-stop ensuring my team is prepared and safe as well providing excellent care to the patients we serve. 2020 has been designated as The Year of the Nurse and Midwife by The World Health Organization, and now I know why. This experience has made me realize why I was put on this earth and has also allowed me to focus on what truly is important. I love the virtual market and have always received the highest quality products and services. Thanks again for reaching out to me and for all that you do!”

Growing up surrounded by nurses in our family, including my mom and grandma, I know how selfless and skilled these women are, and how underappreciated they often are as well.

On the front lines during these unbelievable, difficult times, we applaud their determined efforts and thank them for their service, compassion, and work ethic.

We are grateful to you ladies, and to the others out there in our community like you – THANK YOU, and please take good care of yourselves, too!! We need you and are so fortunate to have you :-)

Open one more week, Closed for Easter!!

We will be OPEN only ONE WEEK MORE before our annual Easter Break!!

We’re open this week for orders, with pickup next Tuesday April 7th as normal, but we will NOT reopen next Tuesday for orders!!

No Market on April 14th – place your orders now!! :-)

And sadly we must postpone the Spring Night Market that was scheduled for next Tuesday April 7th :-(

There will be a right time to host another Night Market – and oh the produce we can have available in the near future!!

We are very fortunate to be able to continue the Virtual Market – we’ll take all the Blessings, however Big or Small, wherever we can find them :-)

And talk about Blessings!! THANK YOU for your continued support, kind words, and happy thoughts! We are honored to continue this little local service that feels like an ever-growing family.

Everyone take good care of yourselves, and each other :-)
