New favorite on the Market

I cannot remember a time when I received this much positive feedback about a new Market product all within the same week!

The Edamame beans from the Grumpy Goat Experiment are the newest Market favorite, hands down!! Wow!!

Remember we close tonight at 9pm :-)

And here’s hoping everyone has a chance to enjoy this glorious weather. Whether you grab a fresh snack from the garden, spy a monarch flitting past, roughhouse with the kids and pets in the yard, or just soak up some vitamin D, you can’t go wrong enjoying the beauty and fun of a sunshiny summer Saturday!!

Jandy's Garlic Festival SUNDAY!!

Jandy’s Farm hosts a sweet affair every year on their lovely Bellefontaine homestead – a Garlic Harvest Celebration where they offer 12 varieties of their Garlic for sale, whether you only need a few bulbs or a few pounds for seed, as well as other chemical free produce and flowers.

Combined with music, food, and a variety of other vendors, we look forward to this little event every year – and how wonderful they’re still able to offer it now amidst the changes and unpredictability of this season!!

Ecologically conscious farmers, they have so much knowledge and beauty to share – their farm is an inspiring, uplifting place!! I have always loved their motto, “Ecological farming – it’s only logical”!

We met them on an OEFFA-sponsored farm tour ten years ago, and bought our first garlic to plant of course from them after they happily and patiently answered our million questions – popular at the Logan County Farmer’s Market, they encourage you to try to grow your own and even provide instruction sheets (PRICELESS!!) to help you out.

And I have had such an exorbitant number of questions this year from folks wondering about how to grow garlic, I’ll post their information here later in the fall when we get closer to planting time in October.

For now, enjoy as many of the different garlic varieties as you can, from the most mild to the ones for real heat lovers, think about whether you’d need it to store for months if you don’t go thru it very quickly, and decide whether you’d use the wonderful garlic scapes produced only by the hardneck garlic varieties!

Hope to see you Sunday :-)

Visit their Facebook page for more information and the festival flyer!!

Chicken Patties, Brats, more produce, and a Pork Sausage Special!

Tonight we see the return of many favorites from King’s Poultry, including cheddar jalapeno brats, ground chicken sausage, chicken patties, sweet Italian sausage links, and more!!

Plus a Special this week on Phil and Matt’s famous Salt and Pepper Sausage – 5lbs for $23!!

And Michael’s Pastured Poultry is on Vacation this week only as he readies for the Miami County Fair!! Good luck, Michael!!

Last week of the Honey sale!!

Both quarts and pints of the raw Light Amber Honey from Troy’s Pumpkin Patch is still offered at a reduced price this week, but will return to regular price next week!!

Sale ends 9pm Saturday!!

We're Open for Orders with a new winner!!

Congratulations to Wanda Tremblay, our latest gift card winner from the Refer-a-Friend program!!

Keep those referrals coming for next month’s drawing!!

You have to love summer – sweet corn, zucchini, tomatoes, okra, peppers, garlic, green beans… And soon raspberries and potatoes!!

Happy shopping, and thanks for supporting our little local Market :-)

We close tonight at 9!!

Just a reminder we close tonight at 9pm!!

Becky’s Buckeye Naturals now has more shower fizzies available – both eucalyptus and lemongrass lavender, with peppermint to come!! Her version of a bath bomb for shower lovers does not disappoint!

Morningside Meadows Flower Farm has a few fresh cut bouquets available, with beautiful summer favorites including sunflowers they raise from seed!!

Soon we’ll welcome our newest vendor, very exciting!!

And next week we’ll see edamame on the market for the first time!!

Honey on sale!!

Not only is Pumpkin Patch back on the Market this week with their amazing Honey, but the Light Amber Honey is also on SALE!!

$1 off quarts and $.50 off pints :-)

We're Back with New Produce Offerings!!

Tonight we welcome back JM Gardens to the Market, with Zucchini and Cucumbers – and soon he’ll also have Sweet Corn and Potatoes!!

Lots of summer favorites!! Grilled, roasted, raw – you can’t go wrong :-)
