Bread donations for the Tornado Victims

Thanks to 6635 StudeBaker for the great pictures on our Facebook page of her personal project to help the Victims of the recent Tornadoes.

She took her good, wholesome organic ingredients, used a 1905 recipe for Everyday Bread, and mixed them up in an early 20th century hand crank dough mixer.

After baking the loaves in her wood fired outdoor bake oven, those loaves of hope and care were delivered to Good Neighbor House in Dayton.

She may have said the bread was only a drop in the bucket, but I say they’re an inspiration!

Fresh from the Grumpy Goat Experiment! They have large, beautiful heads of Broccoli to offer today (we’re open til 8pm!), and much more new produce to come this week!

Organically grown, just as with all of their products, and their farm will be Certified later this summer – we are so excited for them!! :-)

You may have noticed 6635 Studebaker absent from the Market this week, but never fear, she’ll be back next week with all her organic favorites, including sourdoughs, biscuits, pasta, and those addictive crackers!

Two new additions to our Market family!

What a day! Congratulations are certainly in order!

Yesterday morning Ryan and Bree Leach of Live Simply Live Richly Farm welcomed Mila Jo, their 3rd child, into the world – incredibly, just 3 hours after Lee and I were Blessed with our 5th, Anna Rose! Good thing for the midwife our End of the Road Farm is only 20 minutes from the Leach family! ;-).

Everyone is doing well, and how wonderful to see their 2 other children and our other 4 enthralled with the new additions! Don’t you just love the newness of Spring?!

I don’t know how you did it, but somehow all of you incredible customers made tonight, with our biggest sales of the year, the easiest pickup night as well!

Thanks to everyone not only for shopping and supporting fresh, local food, but also for trickling in to pickup, with nicely spaced apart arrivals on a night when I sure needed there not to be a line out the door! ;-)
