Seed Saving Basics class on Monday, June 26th! Space is limited, so register today!

Seed saving is near and dear to our hearts – we not only want to share with people one of our passions, but also show that seed saving is vitally necessary, absolutely doable, and oh so fun!

Appropriate for beginning seed savers, this class will include an introduction to seed saving, as well as why seed saving is critically important! See examples of our carrot, chard, peas, radishes, and spinach seed that is ready for harvest before we collect the lettuce!

In this class, conducted out of doors in one of the market gardens on our farm, you will:

1. See the various stages of growth and seed development of several veggies

2. Learn how to determine which plants you should save to harvest seed

3. Test your germination rate

4. Discover proper storage techniques

5. Take home resources and tips to aid your future seed saving endeavors, and much more!

Ages 14 and up are welcome – As we will be outside for the duration of this 90 minute class, please wear appropriate clothing and shoes for gardening, and feel free to bring water to stay hydrated!
