Spicy Edamame

This recipe came from Food Network.

The original recipe said to serve warm but my family likes it cold better.

Eat them by pulling the pod between your teeth and the beans pop out into your mouth. They are a tasty treat and a different way to eat your veggies.

Serves: 4 servings
Vegan!

Ingredients
1 lb edamame in the pod
2 tsp salt
1 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp oregano

Step by Step Instructions
  1. Boil the edamame pods in salted water until tender, about 8 minutes. Drain in a colander and pat dry.
  2. While the edamame is boiling, heat the salt, chili powder, and pepper flakes in a small dry skillet over medium heat, stirring until hot and aromatic, about 3 minutes. Remove from the heat and crumble in the oregano.
  3. Toss the edamame pods with the spice mixture. It will stick even if the pods are dry.
